WE ARE LOOKING FOR A QUALITY INNOVATIONS AND IMPROVEMENT SPECIALIST

SENIORITY LEVEL: Experienced Non-Manager

LOCATION: Clarksville, TN

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

The Quality Innovations & Improvement Specialist drives collaboration across the facility and other manufacturing sites to deliver strategic Continuous Quality and Process Improvement initiatives. The incumbent plays a key role in leading teams and initiatives as a part of Quality Incident Elimination and Consumer Complaint Elimination within the Quality Pillar of the Integrated Work System (IWS). The incumbent will use data and analytics to identify sources of quality losses, engage with key stakeholders to identify root causes, develop sound solutions, and implement improvements that drive loss elimination.

The role requires a working knowledge of software applications, quality procedures, machine operations, and maintenance activities within the areas assigned. The incumbent will continually monitor performance to deliver Quality Improvement and achieve common goals with Maintenance and Production team members.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Utilize working knowledge of Manufacturing Controls environment (including Ignition), MES, PDM, LIMS, Pilgrim SmartSolve, and knowledge of SAP Materials Management.

  • Demonstrate business and technical process experience in manufacturing to facilitate cross functional CPI development and implementation.

  • Analyse, investigate, and report on Consumer Complaints, Quality Alerts and incidents, as well as perform root cause analysis to facilitate issue resolution.

  • Develop cross functional improvement teams with the goal of addressing non-conformances, addressing monthly QRPN’s for each manufacturing department and addressing reoccurring Consumer Complaints.

  • Identify and lead implementation of Quality process improvement initiatives to ensure a holistic view across functions; regularly collaborate with other facilities to share improvement ideas and successes.

  • Support IWS Process by actively leading and/or participating in loss elimination initiatives in both operations and quality.

  • Regular engagement with AM/PM pillar leads to ensure improvements are implemented and delivering results

  • Perform administrative support and Subject Matter Expert roles during regulatory inspections

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Broad knowledge of manufacturing processes; knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices is a plus

  • Previous experience in Quality Control, sampling and/ or testing

  • Ability to recognize manufacturing defects and identify root cause

  • Computer skills using Process Control Systems (i.e., Ignition), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), MS Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, and Outlook and present data using MS Excel and Power BI).

  • Quality background (sampling, testing, calibration, qualification, validation) or technical background with problem-solving skills and ability to effectively manage the recommended continuous improvements

  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and risk-based decision-making skills

  • 4 year degree in Management, Science, Engineering or related field (preferred); OR High School diploma or equivalent plus 3 years business and technical process (or process improvement) related experience within a manufacturing environment.

SALARY AND BENEFITS OVERVIEW

Wage Information

  • Annual Salary: Minimum 70.700; Maximum: 89,100

  • Bonus Target: 10 percent
