As the Director of Portfolio Management in the Consumer Marketing function you will be joining a team of exceptional consumer marketers in a World Class Marketing Organization. As a marketing led organization we manage some of the largest and most iconic CPG brands. This is a fast paced and collaborative environment with a heavy emphasis on marketing excellence and talent development.

Your overarching responsibilities include:

  • Keen understanding of insights driving category, competitive, and consumer behaviors

  • Leverage this knowledge to develop portfolio, pricing, and promotional plans ensuring short and long term commercial impact that align with the brands’ high level strategies

  • Significant collaboration with cross departmental stakeholders to deliver, analyze, and refine plans


We are looking for a dynamic, creative, and passionate individual to join our marketing team and be a part of an exciting opportunity to change the tobacco landscape and reimagine a new world of nicotine enjoyment for Adult Tobacco Consumers (ATC). Backed with experience, dedication, and best in class industry resources, you will oversee strategic portfolio management and deployment of pricing and promotion investments for RJRVCs modern oral brand – VELO.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners in the development of pricing strategies, geographical segmentation and sales planning that are optimized and deployed to deliver net sales and margin targets without degrading brand equity. You will also be responsible for short and long term product portfolio strategies.

Director – Consumer Marketing – VELO Portfolio Management:

  • Serve as the ongoing strategic resource for competitive intelligence and pricing/promotional decision making across all modern oral products (pouches, lozenges, etc.).

  • Lead the VELO portfolio strategy across formats and channels

  • Ensure pricing objectives are designed to meet corporate goals including volume, NTO, gross margin, and share.

  • Collaborate across brand teams and commercial functions to drive alignment in deployment of pricing levers and ensure no adverse effects.

  • Innovate new levers and design new capabilities to deliver pricing to the consumer for maximum efficiency & effective spend.

  • Participate as a key stakeholder in Strategy and Operational Plan development to drive attainment of brand goals.

  • Proactively recommend improvements to brand pricing strategies and product offerings through development of key insights.

  • Lead cross functional teams to deliver against Brand goals.

  • Contribute to overall brand and consumer strategy.

  • Serve as a brand steward amongst cross functional teams.

  • Gain support for new ideas, strategy shifts and lead change throughout the organization when appropriate.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred

  • Demonstrated track record of successful, innovative problem solving and leadership that resulted in market share gains and/or business improvement

  • Demonstrated pricing expertise in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG)

  • Proven ability to successfully drive P&L objectives across a very large scope of business

  • Demonstrated experience in motivating people, strong communication/interpersonal skills, thinking/operating strategically, sound decision-making, and an appreciation of functions other than Marketing
