This position is within Reynolds American Services Company—a subsidiary that provides support services, including compliance, HR, law, finance, information management, and more to all of the subsidiaries of RAI.

TheLead Finance Manageris a highly visible position that is an integral part of the RAISC Operating Company Finance team with career growth opportunities. This position provides accounting support to cross functional areas and the finance management team.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the monthly general ledger closing process which may include performance of system-related activities and controls utilizing SAP.

  • Responsible for various monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses and various monthly journal entries.

  • Responsible for preparing internal financial statements for individual operating companies.

  • Responsible for performance and documentation of various internal controls. Responsible for controls testing to comply with Sarbanes Oxley requirements.

  • Partner with other corporate functions, such as Tax and Treasury. Assist with special projects as needed.

  • Review account reconciliations and provide guidance to team members.

  • No direct or indirect reports.

Job Requirements:

Required Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related area

5 or more years of experience in Accounting

  • Be a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision, with the expectation of working as a motivated and cooperative team member

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Effective oral and written communication skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of SAP is preferred

  • Solid written and verbal communications skills

  • Strong Excel skills

  • Knowledge of ERP systems
