The Senior Financial Analyst - Insurance & Investing is a highly visible position that is an integral part of the RAI Services Company Finance team with tremendous career growth opportunities. This position provides decision and analytical support to cross functional areas and the finance management team.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Requires a high level of business partnering with other finance functions, including tax, treasury, SOX compliance, planning and operations. May also require business partnering with external stakeholders, including third-party service providers.
May be responsible for treasury related activities, including risk management, corporate insurance, investing, asset accounting, and contract review.
May be responsible for budgeting and forecasting or working with other finance areas review
May be responsible for variance analysis, account reconciliations, journal entries and other financial closing activities
May be responsible for performance of various internal controls related for SOX compliance
Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related area required or related business experience
Strong knowledge of finance/analytics with at least 2-4 years of experience in Accounting, Financial Analysis or related analytical field required
Must be a strategic thinker with strong influencing and leadership skills.
Demonstrated excellent PC skills and detailed knowledge of MS Office.
Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills
Strong analytical skills; must possess an ability to make quick decisions and use good judgment
Experience with project management techniques and/or systems required
Must be detail oriented, reliable, and financially responsible
Must possess a high sense of urgency and work ethic
Must be a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision, with the expectation of working as a motivated and cooperative team member
Demonstrated ability to challenge the status quo
CPA or MBA
Knowledge of SAP
