This position is with RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company—the second-largest U.S. tobacco company. The company's brands include Newport, Camel and Pall Mall.

The Sr. Manager - Revenue Growth Management Strategy position:

Principal Job Responsibilites :

  • Coordinates development and communication of trade programs and compliance to the program

  • Lead trade analytics to improve the return on trade investments and develop recommendations for trade optimization.

  • Collaborate with marketing and sales in the development of customer plans, business proposals, and marketing programs

  • Supports annual and ongoing planning process for customer specific programs

  • Develop and present analytics to the organization that highlights business risks and opportunities

  • Provide a linkage from sales team to headquarter RGM team to ensure delivery of thought leadership & analytical acumen to account team

  • Build relationships with key customers and support Sales on contract negotiations and customer specific promotional plans

  • Evaluation of Joint Business Plan (JBP) metrics with Customer (e.g. revenue, customer margin, share)

  • Accountable for team routines measuring key topline Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) – volume, price/mix, revenue drivers

  • Measure and report trade results vs. plan and highlight variance

  • Analyze planned trade events and make recommendations for adjustment and future customer plans

  • Conducts customer analytics as necessary.

  • Identify best practices and standardize where possible

Education:

  • BS/BA degree required; Master’s degree preferred

Experience:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in pricing, promotion, sales analytics, finance and/or category management

  • Experience on consumer goods strongly preferred

Required Skills:

  • Must have excellent analytical skills and business acumen to build strong business cases to drive core business decisions and change/innovation

  • Data and insights driven

  • Commercially focused and is consumer centric

  • Strong ability to build trusting partnerships

  • Strong oral and written communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills to influence and secure cross-functional support
